Yoga Words, Translated
Ever felt lost when a teacher says something in Sanskrit? We'll help you speak 'Yogi' in no time.
Namaste
More than just a greeting, it roughly translates to "the light in me honors the light in you." It's how we say thanks to each other at the end of every session. Pretty cool, right?
Vinyasa
Basically means "flow." It denotes a style where we coordinate movement with our breath.
Om
The original vibration of the universe. We chant it to feel connected to the room and our own bodies. Don't worry, you'll get the hang of it!
Studio Etiquette
We keep it simple: Arrive 10 minutes early, take your shoes off at the door, and please keep your mobile on silent. Your brain (and your neighbors) will thank you.
